Conservation is a process of stripping new layers until the original is exposed.
Afterwards, the building is clad in new content.
The beginning of the conservation process starts with documentary research that exposes the historical, cultural, and architectural significance of the unique structure.

There are several approaches to conservation originated from the different worldviews aspects toward the role of the building in the urban fabric or the site in which it is located, its place in the historical heritage, and its architectural and aesthetic characteristics - are being examined in each case individually.
